West Coast Enviro were the bird control contractor for the Ballnagran Residual Landfill Site in Co Wicklow when they won the PEELs Cup in 2008. This prize is awarded annually by the Chartered Institute of Wastes Management to the waste facility judged to have the highest standard of excellence in its operational team. The 2008 PEELs cup was awarded to Ballynagran Residual Landfill, Co Wicklow, Ireland, operated by Greenstar. 

This is the first occasion in the 20 year history of the PEELs People’s Cup that it was awarded to a facility in Ireland. Greenstar is proud to be the 2008 winner of this prestigious award and wishes to acknowledge and thank all involved with us in the setting of this standard including neighbours, local community groups, regulators, customers, consultants, contractors, our colleagues in Greenstar's state of the art recycling and residual disposal facilities and of course, the excellent operations team at Ballynagran.
